HOW TO FORMAT A BOOTABLE USB DRIVE IN WINDOWS 11: Booting windows from a USB drive or making a new windows installation from a USB drive today is one of the most commonly used and reliable means of windows installation. It is however common that after using the bootable USB, it may disappear in the windows explore tab for formatting. In this article I am gong to explain the way such a bootable drive can be formatted for use as a media storage.
We are lucky that now days Windows 10 and 11 comes with an inbuilt disc management utility and this is what we shall be using.
Steps
1. Right click on the start button and select management
2. From the Disc management panel that comes up, allocate the flash disc
3. Right click on the flash disc and select delete disc
4. Go a head and right click again on the disc and create new simple volume
